One of the most common questions we are asked via requests through email or over the phone is do we supply chrome paint for plastic?
The short answer to this is Yes and I will get into the longer answer below.
One of the most common misconceptions is that you cannot apply chrome paint to plastic and if you can, you will not get the desired result or the chroming effect will not look as good.
In short, this is all nonsense and here at chrome Illusion, we have developed our own coatings and paints which can basically be applied to just about any surface and give the best result possible but with that in mind you must adhere to the basic principles of paint preparation.
As with any paint job, attempting to apply our chrome paint on plastic needs the same preparation as any other surface. The surfaces need to be cleaned, dried, base coats applied sanded and our chrome paint for plastic needs to be applied.
Chrome on Plastic
As you can see in the image above, we have placed our chrome paint on two very different surfaces, one is Chrome on Glass while the other is chrome on plastic. Now here is the question, can you tell which item is plastic and which item is glass? Both items have extremely high quality chrome finishes and both look amazing. Contact us for then answer and to enquire on how to start your purchase of our patented chrome paints for any surface.
